Emirates President Tim Clark will be in Sydney on 6th September where an announcement is expected to be made regarding codesharing between the two carriers. The EK412/EK413 Dubai – Sydney – Auckland rotation departing Dubai on 5th September will only operate as far as Sydney in for the Emirates A380 to be available in Sydney for publicity purposes.
Speaking at the IATA conference in Beijing Emirates President Tim Clark signalled that the airline was ing to expand its services to Australia with new services to Adelaide. Darwin, / usa Cairns and Coolangtta/Gold Coast were also named as destinations the airline would be interested in serving in the future. Mr Clark stated that all the airline would wish to serve all destinations daily from the outset.
Emirates currently has rights for 84 weekly services to Australia of which it is presently using 70.
