Emirates A380 A6-EUB operated EK701 Dubai – Mauritius this morning, however the return EK702 returned to the gate at Mauritius and was subsequently delayed overnight due to a technical issue.

A380 A6-EUB, which has been under repair at Dubai since 5th April following a ground collision at Singapore on 30th March, returned to service in the early hours of this morning operating EK701 Dubai – Mauritius.

A380 A6-EUB preparing to operate the Singapore – Dubai sector of EK405 Melbourne – Singapore – Dubai (depart Melbourne 29th March) was being pushed back at Singapore when its right wingtip was in collission with the left wing of ScootBoeing 787-9 9V-OJA. The flight sector was cancelled and passengers reaccommodated on other services.

A380 A6-EUB entered service this morning operating EK55 Dubai – Dusseldorf. The aircraft is in 14F/76J/429Y configuration without the main deck crew rest area.

A380 A6-EUB was delivered Finkenwerder – Vienna this afternoon as EK7380 where it will be involved in media events before the start of A380 operations to Vienna on July 1st. This brings the Emirates A380 fleet up to 80 aircraft
