A380 A6-EOP operating EK39 Dubai – Birmingham was just over an hour into the flight above the Persian Gulf this morning when it turned back to Dubai for a safe landing due to a technical issue.

Emirates A380 A6-EOP EK19 London Heathrow Diversion.

A380 A6-EOP operating EK19 Dubai – Manchester diverted via London Heathrow this evening after going around three times at Manchester when the Flight Management System repeatedly warned that Manchesters runways were too short to attempt to land on. Due to the delay caused by the diversion the return EK20 operated after midnight as EK20D. This was the first appearance of a Two Class A380 at London Heathrow.

A380 A6-EOP entered service today operating EK19 Dubai – Manchester. The Two Class aircraft was used on this route as a one-off proving flight before entering regular service on the Dubai – Copenhagen route on December 1st.

A380 A6-EOP was delivered Finkenwerder – Dubai this afternoon as EK7380. This brings the Emirates A380 fleet up to 68 aircraft. This is the first aircraft delivered in 58J/557Y configuration.

A380 A6-EOP made its first flight from Toulouse today wearing test registration F-WWSV and positioned Toulouse – Finkenwerder. This aircraft will be the first to be fitted with a two class 58J/557Y configuration.
