Emirates A380 A6-EEG operating EK404 Dubai – Sydney stopped the climb at 10,000 ft in the early hours of this morning due to a technical issue, entered a hold to burn fuel then returned to Dubai for a safe landing.

Emirates A380 A6-EEG Sydney Technical Issue.

Emirates A380 A6-EEG overnighted at Sydney after arriving as EK414 from Dubai yesterday, however its scheduled return to Dubai as EK415 early this morning was delayed overnight and subsequently cancelled due to a technical issue.

Following the earlier A380 technical issue at Mauritius, Emirates A380 A6-EEG positioned Dubai – Mauritius this evening in to operate the delayed EK702 Mauritius – Dubai after midnight as EK702D.

Emirates A380 A6-EDR Kuwait Rescue Mission.

Following the planned diversion of sister A6-EEG to Kuwait, Emirates A380 A6-EDR positioned Dubai – Kuwait as EK3001 this afternoon in to complete yesterdays EK202 New York JFK – Dubai flying Kuwait – Dubai as EK202. The changeover of passengers between the two aircraft was achieved in under an hour.

Emirates A380 A6-EEG EK202 Kuwait Technical Diversion.

A380 A6-EEG operating EK202 New York JFK – Dubai (depart New York JFK 25th October) diverted to Kuwait this afternoon due to crew needing to shut down the #4 engine whilst over the Atlantic. The decision was taken to continue to Kuwait on three engines in to rendezvous with another aircraft sent from Dubai. The increased fuel consumption due to the increased drag of the non operating engine meant the aircraft did not have the range to reach Dubai.

A380 A6-EEG entered service this morning operating EK805 Dubai – Jeddah. The aircraft is confirmed as being in 14F/76J/399Y configuration with the lower deck crew rest area.

A380 A6-EEG was delivered Finkenwerder – Dubai as EK7380 this evening. This brings the A380 fleet up to 33 aircraft.
