Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EGY operating the Singapore – Brisbane sector of EK432 Dubai – Singapore – Brisbane (depart Dubai 18th July) diverted to Melbourne in the early hours of this morning due to a runway closure at Brisbane following the emergency return of a departing Malaysia Airlines A330-300. The aircraft remained at Melbourne until early in the evening when it continued Melbourne – Brisbane as EK432D. The aircraft then positioned Brisbane – Ho Chi Minh City as EK393 following a Boeing 777-300ER technical issue at Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.

Following the technical diversion of EK235 Dubai – Chicago to Goose Bay, Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EPV positioned Boston – Goose Bay late tonight as EK2696 in order to continue the diverted flight. The aircraft had arrived into Boston as EK237 from Dubai earlier and as a result the return EK238 has been delayed until the early hours of July 20th.
