Emirates Withdraws from Sydney – Auckland Route.

Emirates today announced that from 13th July it will terminate the Sydney – Auckland sector of its EK418/EK419 Dubai – Bangkok – Sydney – Auckland rotation. The flights will operate as a Dubai – Bangkok – Sydney rotation.

Emirates Boeing 777-300ER A6-EQB was delivered Paine Field – Dubai this morning as EK7777. The aircraft is the 132nd Boeing 777-300ER delivered to Emirates and brings the active fleet up to 131 aircraft.

Emirates B777-300ER A6-EPO Yinchuan Technical Issue.

Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EPO operated the Dubai – Yinchuan sector of EK326 Dubai – Yinchuan – Zhengzhou this morning, however the onward sector to Zhengzhou and the return EK327 Zhengzhou – Yinchuan – Dubai were cancelled due to a technical issue.

Following the Boeing 777-300ER technical issue at Jeddah yesterday evening, Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EBH positioned Dubai – Jeddah as EK2541 in the early hours of this morning in to operate the delayed EK2824 Jeddah – Dubai.

Emirates Announce Second Daily Birmingham A380 Service.

Emirates today announced that it will switch operation of the EK39/EK40 Dubai – Birmingham service from Boeing 777-300ER to Two Class A380 operation from 29th October 2017. This will give Birmingham two A380 services daily.

Emirates Announce Double Daily Beijing A380 Service.

Emirates today announced that it will upgauge the EK308/EK309 Dubai – Beijing rotation from Boeing 777-300ER to A380 operation from 1st July 2017. This will provide double daily A380 service to Beijing.

Emirates A380 A6-EEO operating the Dubai – Brisbane sector of EK434 Dubai – Brisbane – Auckland (depart Dubai 20th May) diverted via Sydney this morning due to weather at Brisbane. The complete routing was therefore Dubai – Sydney – Brisbane – Auckland.

Emirates A380 A6-EUQ, which has thus far completed two rotations in service, was stopped for maintenance at Dubai this evening after arriving as EK373 from Kuala Lumpur.

Emirates A380 A6-EUQ entered service this morning operating EK372 Dubai – Bangkok. The aircraft is confirmed as being in 58J/557Y configuration.

Emirates A380 A6-EUQ was delivered Finkenwerder – Nice – Dubai as EK7380 this afternoon. The aircraft took part in publicity events at Nice ahead of Emirates commencing A380 service to Nice from July 1st. This brings the A380 fleet up to 95 aircraft.

Emirates A380 A6-EEF operating the Dubai – Brisbane sector of EK434 Dubai – Brisbane – Auckland (depart Dubai 14th May) diverted via Sydney this morning due to weatner at Brisbane. The Brisbane – Auckland sector operated using callsign EK434D. The aircraft’s complete routing was Dubai – Sydney – Brisbane – Auckland.

Emirates A380 A6-EDG Returns from Dubai Maintenance.

Emirates A380 A6-EDG, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 24th April, returned to service this afternoon operating EK47 Dubai – Frankfurt. This followed yesterday’s technical issue at Dubai.

Emirates A380 A6-EEF Operates Delayed Heathrow Service.

Following the A380 technical issue at Dubai yesterday, Emirates A380 A6-EEF operated yesterday’s delayed EK5 Dubai – London Heathrow in the early hours of this morning as EK5D. The aircraft then positioned London Heathrow – Dubai as EK2552.

Emirates A380 A6-EDG Returns from Dubai Maintenance, Goes Tech.

Emirates A380 A6-EDG, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 24th April, was scheduled to return to service this afternoon operating EK5 Dubai – London Heathrow, however the aircraft returned to the stand and was unable to operate the service due to a technical issue. The return EK6 was cancelled.

Emirates B777-300ER A6-ECQ Returns from Adelaide.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-ECQ departed Adelaide early this afternoon operating yesterday’s delayed EK441 Adelaide – Dubai.

Emirates Announce Extra Brisbane Service.

Emirates today announced an additional Dubai – Brisbane rotation to commence on 1st December. Schedules for the Boeing 777-200ER service are as follows:

EK430 Dubai 2200 – Brisbane 1815+1
EK431 Brisbane 2200 – Dubai 0700+1.

Emirates Annual Results.

Emirates Group posted an AED 2.5 billion (US$ 670 million) profit for the financial year ending 31 March 2017, down 70% from last year’s record profit. The Group’s revenue reached AED 94.7 billion (US$ 25.8 billion), an increase of 2% over last year’s results. Passengers numbers were 56.1 million (up 8%), and average Load Factor 75.1%, down from 76.5% last year.

Emirates A380 A6-EDJ operating EK186 Barcelona – Dubai stopped the climb at 18, 000 ft this afternoon and returned to Barcelona due to a emergency on board. The aircraft departed again after around an hour on the ground as EK186D.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-ENQ departed Hamburg late this afternoon operating yesterday’s delayed EK62 Hamburg – Dubai as EK62D.

Following the technical issue it encountered on 29th April, Emirates A380 A6-EOU positioned Prague – Dubai in the early hours of this morning as EK2642.
