Emirates A380 A6-EEF, which has been at Melbourne since 12th February when it sustained wing fairing damage when it burst tyres on landing, positioned Melbourne – Dubai this afternoon as EK2665.

Emirates Announce Yangon and Hanoi Service.

Emirates today announced a daily Dubai – Yangon – Hanoi service to commence on 3rd August 2016. The route will start as a Three Class Boeing 777-300ER operation but will switch to a Two Class aircraft from 30th October 2016. Schedules are as follows:

EK388 Dubai 0250 – 1105 Yangon 1235 – 1450 Hanoi
EK389 Hanoi 2250 – 0020+1 Yangon 0150+1 – 0505+1 Dubai

The airline has traffic rights on the Yangon – Hanoi sector.

Emirates A380 A6-EOT Overnight Dusseldorf Delay.

Emirates A380 A6-EOT operated EK55 Dubai – Dusseldorf this morning, however the return EK56 has been delayed overnight. It is not clear whether this is due to a crew or a technical issue.

Emirates A380 A6-EOV Enters Service.

Emirates A380 A6-EOV entered service this morning operating EK141 Dubai – Madrid. The aircraft is in 14F/76J/429Y configuration.

Emirates A380 A6-EEO Takes Over EK412.

Following the earlier technical return of EK412 Dubai – Sydney – Auckland to Dubai, / the flight was subsequently operated late this afternoon by Emirates A380 A6-EEO.

Emirates A380 A6-EDP EK412 Dubai Technical Return.

Emirates A380 A6-EDP operating the Dubai – Sydney sector of EK412 Dubai – Sydney – Auckland stopped the climb at 20, 000 ft this morning due to a technical issue, circled to burn off fuel and then returned to Dubai for a safe landing.

Emirates A380 A6-EOV Delivered.

Emirates A380 A6-EOV was delivered Finkenwerder – Dubai this evening as EK7380. This brings the Emirates A380 fleet up to 74 aircraft.

Emirates B777-300ER A6-ENO Returns from Birmingham.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-ENO departed Birmingham this afternoon operating yesterday’s delayed EK40 Birmingham – Dubai as EK40D.

Emirates A380 A6-EEW Hong Kong Flight Switch.

Emirates A380 A6-EEW operated EK386 Dubai – Hong Kong this morning. However following the A380 technical issue at Hong Kong yesterday it turned around to operate yesterday’s delayed EK385 Hong Kong – Bangkok – Dubai as EK385D. As a result EK387 Hong Kong – Dubai was cancelled.

Emirates A380 A6-EEH EK201 Washington Diversion.

Emirates A380 A6-EEH operating EK201 Dubai – New York JFK diverted via Washington this afternoon due to long hold times at New York JFK. As a result the return EK208 was delayed by six hours and operated as EK208D.

Emirates B777-300 A6-EMM Karachi Rescue Mission.

Following the earlier technical diversion of EK522 Dubai – Thiruvananthapuram to Karachi, Emirates Boeing 777-31H A6-EMM positioned Dubai – Karachi as EK2547 in the early hours of this morning in to continue the diverted flight, routing Karachi – Thiruvananthapuram as EK522. The aircraft then operated the delayed EK523 Thiruvananthapuram – Dubai.

Emirates B777-300ER A6-EPJ Delivered.

Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EPJ was delivered Paine Field – Dubai this evening as EK7777. This brings the B777-300ER fleet up to 114 aircraft.

Emirates B777-300ER A6-EGF Takes Over EK406 Auckland Sector.

Following the A380 landing incident at Melbourne, Emirates B777-31HER A6-EGF operated the Melbourne – Auckland sector of EK406 Dubai – Melbourne – Auckland and the Auckland – Melbourne sector of EK407 Auckland – Melbourne – Dubai. The Melbourne – Dubai sector of EK407 was cancelled.

Emirates A380 A6-EEF EK406 Melbourne Landing Incident.

Emirates A380 A6-EEF operating the Dubai – Melbourne sector of EK406 Dubai – Melbourne – Auckland (depart Dubai 11th February) burst a tyre (or tyres) on landing into Melbourne this morning causing damage to the wing area. As a result the aircraft was unable to operate the ongoing sector to Auckland.

Emirates Add Sixth Daily Heathrow Rotation.

Emirates today announced a sixth daily Dubai – London Heathrow rotation to commence on 27th March. The service will commence as a three class Boeing 777-300ER operation before switching to A380 on 1st June. Schedules are as follows:

EK31 Dubai 1130 – London Heathrow 1610
EK32 London Heathrow 1950 – Dubai 0550+1

Emirates A330-200 A6-EKR Withdrawn.

Emirates A330-200 A6-EKR was withdrawn from service and entered the Dubai maintenance facility this evening after arriving as EK724 from Addis Ababa.

Emirates A380 A6-EUB First Flight.

Emirates A380 A6-EUB made its first flight from Toulouse today wearing test registration F-WWSZ and positioned Toulouse – Finkenwerder.

Emirates A340-300 A6-ERN Beirut Technical Issue.

Emirates A340-300 A6-ERN arrived into Beirut as EK955 from Dubai late last night, / however this morning’s return EY956 was cancelled due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Beirut – Dubai during the afternoon as EK2504.

Emirates A380 A6-EEH Returns from Munich.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Emirates A380 A6-EEH departed Munich late this afternoon operating yesterday’s delayed EK52 Munich – Dubai as EK52D.

Emirates B777-300ER A6-EGS Trabzon Rescue Mission.

Following the earlier technical diversion of EK35 Dubai – Newcastle to Trabon, s Emirates Boeing 777-31ER A6-EGS positioned Dubai – Trabzon late this morning as EK2505 in to continue the diverted flight, routing Trabzon – Newcastle as EK35.
