Emirates A340-500 A6-ERF operated the Dubai – Accra sector of EK787 this morning however it was unable to operate the continuation of the flight from Accra – Abidjan. The return EK788 Abidjan – Accra sector has been cancelled whilst the Accra – Dubai sector is listed as delayed overnight.
Emirates commenced service on the Dubai – Washington route today with Boeing 777-21HLR A6-EWB operating the inaugural EK231/EK232 rotation.
Emirates A330-200 A6-EAM undertook a Dubai – Dubai flight as EK999 this morning including at least one low pass at Ras Al Khaimah.
Emirates Airbus A380 A6-EDC operated Dubai – Berlin Schonefeld this morning as EK3045 and will return tomorrow evening as EK3046.
Emirates today announced a gradual increase in Dubai – Seychelles services. The current 4 x weekly EK707/EK708 rotation will increase to 5 x weekly from 3rd December 2012 with a new Monday service and then to 5 x weekly from 5th February 2012 with the addition of a new Tuesday service. All flights will be operated by Airbus A340-500s.
Emirates today announced an increase in service on the Dubai – Jeddah route from 28th October 2012 with the EK801/EK802 rotation increasing from 4 x weekly to daily. This brings services up to 21 per week. All EK801/EK802 services will be operate by Airbus A330-200s until 31st December 2012 when they will upgauged to Boeing 777-300ERs.

Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EBP operated an additional Dubai – Kuwait rotation this afternoon as EK3853/EK3854.
Emirates Boeing 777-31H A6-EMR operated EK93 Dubai – Milan Malpensa today however the return EK94 has been delayed by around ten hours. It is not clear whether this is due to a technical or crewing issue.
JetBlue has applied to the US Department of Transportation to add Emirates EK code to its flights on the following routes:

New York JFK – Cancun
New York JFK – Punta Cana
New York JFK – Santiago
New York JFK – Santo Domingo.
Emirates A380 operated the truncated EK412 Dubai – Sydney (depart Dubai 5th September) arriving into Sydney this morning. The aircraft was then posed with QANTAS A380 VH-OQL for publicity photos prior to operating EK413 Sydney – Dubai.

Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EGY was delivered today routing Paine Field – Dubai direct as EK777. This brings the Emirates Boeing 777-300ER fleet up to 77 aircraft.
Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EBM, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 1st August, returned to service today operating EK308 Dubai – Beijing. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 12F/42J/310Y to 8F/42J/310Y.
Emirates Airbus A380 A6-EDN operated today’s EK412 Dubai – Sydney – Auckland this evening with a ten hour delay. The decision has been taken to terminated the flight at Sydney so that the Sydney – Dubai leg of tomorrow’s EK413 can operate on time. This is in contrast to the flight on 25th August which was similarly delayed but continued through to Auckland with the return EK413 operating early the next day.
Emirates Boeing 777-31HER A6-EGX entered service this morning operating EK751 Dubai – Casablanca. This aircraft is confirmed as being in 8F/42J/310Y configuration without overhead crew rest areas.
The EK851/EK852 Dubai – Doha rotation did not operate today.
