Airbus A380 A6-EDB, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 4th March, /returned to service today operating EK346 Dubai – Kuala Lumpur. This is the first use of A380 equipment on the EK346/EK347 Dubai – Kuala Lumpur.

at Sydney caused Airbus A380 A6-EDP operating EK412 Dubai – Sydney – Auckland (depart Dubai 20th April) to divert via Brisbane this morning. The routing was therefore Dubai – Brisbane – Sydney – Auckland.

Airbus A380 A6-EDM arrived into Auckland today as EK412 from Dubai and Sydney (depart Dubai 8th April) however the return EK413 has been delayed by around 24 hours suggesting a technical issue with the aircraft.

Emirates A380 A6-EDQ Positions Home from Hong Kong.

the incident on 7th April when it blew ts whilst landing at Hong Kong and closed the north runway for several hours, Emirates Airbus A380 A6-EDQ was able to position Hong Kong – Dubai this morning as EK7373.

Emirates A380 A6-EDQ Blows Tyres in Hong Kong Landing.

Airbus A380 A6-EDQ operating EK384 Dubai – Bangkok – Hong Kong blew two right hand main gear ts on landing and became disabled on a taxiway closing the north runway for several hours. Passengers were disembarked via mobile stairs. The return flight EK385 has been cancelled.

Sparks were seen coming from the right hand bogie on landing and were clearly visible to passengers watching the landing via the tail camera on the IFE system.

777-31HER A6-EGH, which was delayed overnight in Brisbane, was able to continue with the Brisbane – Dubai sector of yesterdays delayed EK435 Auckland – Brisbane – Dubai service today. The flight operates as EK435D.

A6-EDR EK241 Manchester Diversion

Dubai – Toronto was operated today by A380 A6-EDR, this aircraft is in 38M configuration without crew rest areas. The use of such aircraft on this route is permitted so long as sufficient passenger seats are available for use as crew rest seats. It appears that today insufficient seats were available as the flight operated via Manchester where a crew change took place. The return EK242 was also originally scheduled to stop in Manchester but in the end operated direct to Dubai, suggesting there were sufficient cancellations or no shows to make enough passenger seats available to crew.
